Community Preservation Committee Minutes 4/24/07
FINAL
Present for the Community Preservation Committee and attending the meeting were:  Jane Slater, Bill Randol, Warren Doty, Janet Weidner and Chuck Hodgkinson.  Russell Maloney, Andy Goldman and Karin Wetmore were absent.     

The meeting came to order at 7:20 PM.  Ms. Weidner was appointed acting Chair in Mr. Goldman’s absence.
        
1.      STONE WALL RESTORATION PHASE II UPDATE:  Chuck H. informed the Committee that there is only one more consent form needed for the Phase II stone wall restoration along State Road.

2.      MIDDLE LINE ROAD UPDATE:  Mr. Doty summarized the status of several aspects of this program.  The Planning Board will open the hearing for the Form B subdivision on Monday, April 30 @ 4:30 PM.  The MVC will have its public hearing on the DRI review Thursday, May 10 @ 7:30 PM.  It will be held at the Chilmark Community Center.

Chuck H. informed the Committee that the Cape Light Compact Green Affordable Housing Grant was awarded to the three rental duplexes.  The level of LEED certification will determine the amount that will be granted to each unit.  The rental duplexes must also have occupancy permits by May 2009 to receive the grant.

3.      MINUTES:  The 3/27/07 meeting minutes were reviewed.  A motion to approve the minutes as presented was made, seconded and unanimously approved.

4.      CPC INVOICE APPROVALS:  Chuck H. reviewed a schedule of CPC invoices that were approved in the last month.  The Committee agreed with the approvals.

5.      ROBERT THORSON VISIT:  Chuck H. informed the Committee that Robert Thorson would have a lecture on historic stone walls this June 28 at the Chilmark Library. He will host a guided walk on the morning of June 29th.   The Chilmark Historical Commission with CPC support will host the series.

6.      NEXT MEETING:  The next CPC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, 2007            @ 7:00 PM.    

With no further business to discuss a motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn.  The meeting adjourned at 7:47 PM.
