CHILMARK COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
There will be a public hearing Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Chilmark Town Hall to discuss and receive public comment on the Community Preservation Act funding requests that are under consideration for a February 2 Special Town Meeting.
- To see if the Town will vote to appropriate CPA Open Space Preservation/Parks & Recreation funds for a possible new lease of beach-front property at Squibnocket Beach. The specific parcels and estimated amount will be discussed at the hearing as it is yet to be determined. Should voters approve the Squibnocket beach and parking plan the need for this appropriation will be discussed at the February 2 Special Town Meeting.
- To see if the Town will vote to appropriate an additional sum of CPA Open Space Preservation/Parks & Recreation funds for a possible acquisition of one or two properties along Squibnocket Road to be used for beach parking. The specific parcels and estimated amount will be discussed at the hearing as it is yet to be determined. Should voters approve the Squibnocket beach and parking plan the need for this appropriation will also be discussed at the February 2 Special Town Meeting.
