Cemetery Commission Meeting Minutes Final

Meeting called to order at 3 pm
A.Minutes from Dec 27, 2019 Approved as amended.
B.Superintendent Report -
1. Steve Yaffe (CrossWater Landscape) submitted 2 estimates: #1 $300 to
remove berm and leaning pine tree on Wallach shared property line
causing drainage issues on McGhee & Gude graves. Susan will contact
their caretaker and request permission to remove tree. #2 $300 to clear
area near shed to construct a compost pile. (Estimates less than $1000 do
not need 3 quotes.)
2. Susan will get details from John Flender re western end survey and
proposed creating smaller lots in this undeveloped area.
3. Susan will get info on company that OB & Edgartown cemeteries have
used to create legibly labeled maps.
C.Review of Cemetery Applications
1. Jaffe - After much discussion we declined Marcus Jaffe application for
burial plot as he is not an owner of record of 95 Stonewall Road. He is a
beneficiary of the Trust that owns the lot. We request that Jenny respond to
him and suggest that the Trust may be eligible to purchase the burial plot.
2. Halby/Schaefer - Susan will offer lot #291 (small irregular lot for 1
individual for $400 and #189 ½ lot $600
D. Signatures on Cemetery lot Deed for Jordan Lewis
(Lot #10 Beetlebung Ave) commissioners signed
E. Town Report Draft 2018 - We discussed and made final edits.
F. Correspondence - none
G. Topics not reasonably anticipated - none
