Chilmark Beach Committee

Meeting called to order at 5:10pm

Voted to approve the minutes from December 10th, December 22nd & December 28th 2009.

Committee will be an integral part of the hiring process for beach employees this year.
After discussion it was voted to not rehire one of the beach department employees. 4 ayes & 1 abstain.

The committee will draft goals & expectations for the Superintendant as requested by the Superintendant.
The Committee voted to waive transfer fee if the patrons car is totaled or disabled and a replacement car is necessary. The transfer fee will also be waived if the patron purchases a new car and utilizes identical license plate.
The Committee voted to reduce transfer fee to $20.00 for first transfer and $10.00 for any additional transfer.
Discussion how a year round Chilmark resident would be able to receive a reduced rate for a beach sticker. It must be a Season sticker, resident must come in person. Price will be $60.00 for LVB & $40.00 for Squib. The revenue loss must be reviewed before voting this and presenting to the Board of Selectmen for approval.

Committee will attend Personnel Board meeting to receive approval to advertise for additional Assistant Beach Superintendant.
