Chilmark Beach Committee
December 10th, 2009

Meeting called to order at 5:08 p.m.

Voted to approve the minutes from November 12, 2009.
~
Committee reviewed current budget FY2010 to see what is left to last the rest of the fiscal year & started to review the FY2011 budget the Superintendant prepared.
~
The committee discussed expectations of all beach staff.
Committee would like the Superintendant to be more of a leader and less of a peer with the staff making sure the guards are staying focused on observing swimmers.

Superintendant reviewed with the committee the staffing at LVB & Squib. Beaches: Squibnocket: 1 Beachguard when opening the 2nd beachguard starting at 12 noon., 1 Gate Guard & 1 Parking Attendant starting at 12 noon.
LVB: BeachGuards starting in the morning, 1 @ the gate, 1 @ the near end(near Frankel’s), 1 @ the cliff, 1 in the middle (volleyball net), & 1 @ the far end(Abel’s Hill side) 2 Parking lot attendants.
All beaches are open 77 hrs a week. June 1st until 3rd Sunday in September.

Committee reviewed transfer fee of stickers, will review last yr’s revenue #’s.
