Minutes of April 10, 2017

 

 

Attending: Allen Mayville, Jr., Jim Plunkett, BrianEldredge, Doug Hall, Tom Jameson, Guy Goodwin

 

Chair Allen Mayville opened the meeting at 6:31pm.

 

A review of the minutes of the January 9 meeting resulted inan amendment to add the words “provided the town approves” to one sentence. Amotion was then made, seconded and voted unanimously to approve the minutes of January9 meeting as amended.

 

The RAC 2016 report listed 6 possible reconstructionprojects for 2018:

 


Bear Hill Rd – segments 5,6,7

Ferrin Rd to Loundon town line


East Ricker Rd – segment 1


0.270 miles


Bear Hill Rd to house #256


Horse Corner Rd – segment 8


0.450 miles


House #125 to Garvin Hill Rd

Discussion about other road segments that need work resultedin one more possible project being added for consideration and review bycommittee members:

 


Webster Mills Rd – segments 1,2

Route 28 to Pittsfield town line


 

Doug agreed to prepare and distribute by email acomment/evaluation sheet for RAC members to use as they do on site inspectionof these segments.

 

Jim explained that some work will need to be done to prepareCenter Road for overlay. That work and overlay if done this year will be doneas part of his paving/asphalt budget.

 

The committee discussed at what locations traffic countsshould be done this year. Agreement was made to request the following fourlocations:

East Ricker Rd near Loudon town line

Kelley’s Corner Rd at Route 28

Horse Corner Rd south of Lane Rd

Webster Mills Rd at Router 28

 

Jim will add other locations based on his review of neededtraffic counts.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
