Minutes
September 8, 2014
Present: Philip Hitchcock (chair), Terry McCormack, Jim Plunkett (road agent), Allen Mayville, Tom Jameson
Absent: Richard DeBold (ex-officio)
Meeting opened 6:30 P.M.
A MOTION to approve minutes of August 25, 2014 with minor corrections was made by Allen Mayville and seconded by Terry McCormack. All were in favor, the MOTION passed.
A discussion of updating information for the 2014 Report of the Road Advisory Committee took place and committee members agreed on updating the following segments:
Executive Summary Draft and Committee Membership- to be done by Philip
Inventory of Roads Chart, Road Conditions, Road Surface Management system (RSMS) and traffic count updates– to be done by Jim
Highway Projects completed in 2014 and 2 Year Plan 2015 & 2016- to be done by Terry
Map update-to be done by Tom
Allen suggested that we put information together for the Budget Committee and put out the $458,000 and what would be done for that amount.
The committee discussed getting bids out around December.
Philip will ask Richard to assist and do the update of 5b recommended project segment of the proposed 2014 Town Report (2016).
Allen asked where we could place the bids to inform the public and several ideas were mentioned, the possibility of Jamie placing them in back of town report, contacting Fred Shaw for the town website, the paper with a page in the Suncook Valley Sun and at RAC’s public hearing.
It was decided that the next meeting would be a regularly scheduled one being October 13, 2014.
Jim asked that the committee go through Bid Package for accuracy and that they go out sometime in November with Terry mentioning the inserting of “Subject To Town Approval”.
With no other business Tom Jameson Made a MOTION to adjourn, seconded by Jim Plunkett the MOTION carried and meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
