Chichester Road Advisory Committee
Approved Minutes of December 14, 2015

Meeting opened by Chair Allen Mayville, Jr., at 6:30.
A motion was made, seconded, and voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the November 23, 2015 meeting.
Doug Hall had circulated a revised draft of the committee’s report for 2015. One change had been proposed between meetings. Jim Plunkett had observed that Pleasant Street segment #1 had not been completed in 2013 but in an earlier year. Doug had made that change in the table and text in the draft report.
Tom Jameson presented a revised map of town roads with identified past projects and proposed projects to replace the 2014 map for inclusion in the report.
Jim discussed the budget presentation he had made to the Board of Selectmen and Budget Committee. He noted that the discussion included reducing the amount for winter maintenance by $10,000 in salt.
Discussion ensued about making sure that the proposal for 2017 projects was not limited to the one segment of Bear Hill Road and that the total length proposed for 2017 would be approximately 1.2 miles. A motion was made, seconded, and voted unanimously to add a road segment for 2017 “to be determined” with an undetermined cost.
Committee members discussed whether to propose to the Board of Selectmen to expand the RAC mission to include the words “rehabilitation” and/or “preventive maintenance.” No motion was made and no action taken.
Jim Plunkett informed the committee that the public hearing of the Chichester budget for 2016 will be held at 6:30 on January 26. Snow date will be February 2.
A motion was made, seconded, and voted unanimously to “approve the RAC 2015 report with the changes made at this meeting.”
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm.
