Others Present: Alan Quimby, Ed Millette, Steve Stock, Paul Sanborn, Tom Houle, Donna Chagnon, Patty Milligan, Lucille Noel, Stephen MacCleery, Jeff Meehan and other members of the public.

Call to Order Mr. Jordan called the meeting to order at 6:30pm

Fire Department-
Chief Quimby stated that the Fire Department has some end of year projects that they are trying to finish up.

The first project is a new set of gear racks. Chief Quimby explained that currently the gear racks sit in the sun which beats down on the fire gear and deteriorates the fabric.  They want to order new racks and move the location to where the gear will be protected.

Mr. Sanborn stated that he built the current ones twenty plus years ago out of spare parts.

Mr. Jordan made a motion to authorize the Fire Department to purchase new gear racks from Gear Grid Corporation in the amount of $3,467.00.  Mr. Jameson seconds the motion. Motion passes.

The second project is to purchase new hose testers.  Chief Quimby stated that they typically borrow hose testers from another Town and are responsible for them if anything were to be damaged.  Four quotes were provided.

Mr. Jameson asked the lifespan of the hose testers.  Mr. Sanborn stated it would be twenty plus years.

Mr. Jordan stated that he wasn’t comfortable authorizing the purchase until all the quotes had all the parts required for the hose testers listed on the quote.

Chief Quimby stated that he would obtain more accurate quotes and come back next meeting for approval.

The last project is for a six inch intake release valve.  Chief Quimby provided three quotes and Fire Tech & Safety was the lowest bidder.

Mr. Jameson made a motion and Mr. Jordan seconded to authorize the Fire Department to purchase a six inch ball intake valve for $1575.00.  Motion passes.

Pound Road-
Mr. Meehan came to the Board to discuss how access to Pound Road has recently been blocked by a land owner on Center Road.    Mr. Meehan stated that it has always been a public way and the public should have access to it. Mr. Meehan provided evidence of the road being maintained from 1969-1927.  In addition he stated that stonewall follows the norther side and has always curved.

The Selectmen’s office will conduct some more research and it will be put back on the agenda after budget meetings.

New Selectmen-
Mr. Jordan stated that is little over three months left of Mr. DeBolds position as Selectmen.  Two people have come forward expressing interest in the position.

Mr. Jameson asked the interested parties why they would like to fill in for the position.

Mr. MacCleery stated that he served as a Selectmen previously for three terms.  His last term he was not reelected but he wanted to keep serving. He stated that he has been very involved in the Town on the Budget Committee and the ZBA.  Mr. MacCleery stated that he will most likely run for Selectmen in March.

Mr. Millette stated that he has also been very involved and is a Deputy Chief at the Fire Department and also serves on the Budget Committee.  Mr. Millette wants to fill in until March until the election and does not plan to run in March.

The Selectmen were not ready to make a decision, and asked for the open position to be placed on the website.  They will vote on 12/06/2016.
