Minutes of Meeting
Tuesday, March, 17, 2015
Members Present: Chairman Richard DeBold, Jeffrey Jordan and Administrative Assistant Jamie A Pike.
Other Present: Douglas Hall, Donna Chagnon, Ann Davis, Philip Hitchcock, Joe Austin and Thomas Houle.
Chairman DeBold called the meeting to order at 6:30pm.
Mr. Pike presented the Board with the list of position vacancies and interested parties for the various commissions and committees within the Town. Mr. Hall explained to the Board his views and why he desires to be on the Road Advisory Committee and the Zoning Board of Adjustment and if these were not consistent with the desires of the Board, he respectfully requested that he not be considered for membership.
Mr. Hitchcock announced that Terry McCormack has resigned his position on the RAC.
Mr. DeBold briefed those present on conversations between himself and James Plunkett regarding the posting of King Road as no thru trucking. Mr. Plunkett has spoken to the Police Chief in Loudon about placing a sign on the Loudon end of King Road. Chief Fiske will bring this request to the Selectmen. Mr. Houle stated that this road was previously closed to trucking in the distance past and caused excess traffic on Canterbury Road. Mr. Jordan expressed his desire to not post the road.
Ms. Davis reported that the Heritage Commission has completed the preparation of the Barn Easement Application with Barbara Frangione, whom will be presenting it to the Board for review.
Mr. Jordan made a motion to appoint Mr. DeBold as Chairman of the Board of Selectmen for the ensuing year, stating that his reasoning was based on the increasing absence of Mr. Paveglio at regular meetings. Mr. DeBold, concurring with the reasoning, seconded the motion and accepted the nomination. Motion passes.
Being no further business, a motion was made by Mr. DeBold and seconded by Mr. Jordan to adjourn the meeting at 6:45 pm. Motion passes.
