SELECTMEN’S MINUTES
March 12, 2003
Worksession
PRESENT: Selectman David Colbert, Selectman Richard DeBold, Selectmen-Elect Spook Arey, Town Clerk Evelyn Pike, Office Assistant Lisa Stevens, and Administrative Assistant Judy Kenneally via telephone.
Selectmen Colbert opened the meeting at 5:25pm..
The purpose of this worksession was final preparation for town meeting.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Due to the high voter turnout on Tuesday March 11, 2003 (502), the board decided to move the location of Saturday’s town meeting to the Chichester Central School. Discussion of this possibility had taken place with the moderator Tuesday evening. Attempts made to reach Mr. Hall and consult with him this evening were unsuccessful. Procedures to follow and people to notify were discussed. As soon as contact was made with the moderator, Lisa will put the plan of action in motion.
All department budgets were given final review on the budget.
All warrant articles were reviewed one last time. Spook notified the selectmen that he would be amending the capital reserve request, once he had spoken to the library trustees, down to $0 and moving the $2,000 requested into the Cemetery Capital Reserve Line.
Selectmen DeBold will speak to Road Agent Jordan to verify warrant article money is allocated correctly according to how article # 23 is written.
The session was adjourned at 10:35pm.
