SELECTMENS MINUTES
October 15, 2002
PRESENT: Theodore Bailey, David Colbert, Richard DeBold, Heather Briggs, and Judy Kenneally via telephone
OLD BUSINESS:
The minutes of October 08, 2002 were approved as written, signed and will be posted to our web page.
NEW BUSINESS:
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Ted Bailey.
Subject: Highway Department
HIGHLIGHTS:
Present: Jeffrey Jordan, Road Agent
Discussed CIP. Highway would like to pave Bailey and Cross Road.
Discussed the rock wall on Pleasant Street.
Subject: Fire Department
HIGHLIGHTS:
Present: Chief John Prickett, Mike Paveglio, Paul Sanborn and Gil Vien
Discussed the purchase of Nextel phones for Fire and Police Department, and the possibily for the Road Agent.
Discussed Rescue Truck purchasing options.
Discussed the possibility of replacement insurance rather than the type of insurance we are currently using.
Discussed the Knox Box and its practical applications. The Knox Box can be linked to the alarm system to protect the owner of the building and the person opening the box.
The Board requested a monthly inspection of town owned buildings. The Fire Department agreed.
Subject: Mr. Joe Yannizze
HIGHLIGHTS:
Discussed with Board the concerns regarding 90 Suncook Valley. He is interested in the health and safety of living conditions. He would prefer the town not to incur any financial cost to this investigation but would like the investigation pursued.
Subject: Planning Board Secretary
HIGHLIGHTS:
Present: Mrs. Andrea Deachman
Judy inquired of the Planning Boards written response regarding the intent of the impact fee. Ms. Deachman let her know that it is in process.
Mrs. Deachman informed the Board the zoning issue of the vehicles on the Nolin property.
The Board would like to send Nolin a letter.
Subject: Board Discussion
HIGHLIGHTS:
Discussed treasurer Phyllis Rickers decision to resign next year. The Board discussed who should fill her position.
Discussed the Flanders property.
Discussed the employment options for the Selectmens Office for the following year.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:45 PM.
