SELECTMEN’S MINUTES
03/05/2002


Present:  Jeffrey Jordan, Theodore Bailey, Dennis Call, Judy Kenneally

Old Business:

The minutes of 2/26/02 were accepted as written, signed and posted to our web page.

New Business:

Subject:  Police Chief, Patrick Clarke
Highlights:

Have problems with the ’98 cruiser.

Chief Clarke discussed the proposed full-time position.

Subject:  Road Agent assistant, A J May.
Highlights:

No concerns.

Subject:  William Stevens
Highlights:

Bill explained his problem with the ownership of his lot on Davis Road.  He will continue to research and inform the office when a definite identification is determined.  Ian Blackman would like to walk his bounds with Bill and the Board.  The Board will contact him to arrange a meeting.

Judy will schedule a public hearing to upgrade Davis Road to a Class V road.

Subject:  Paul Adams
Highlights:

Paul submitted a piece to put in Hannah’s column in the Sun to put the Elderly Housing Project on hold.

He purchased a clock for the Hall that he will put up tomorrow.

Subject:  Board discussion
Highlights:

The plates have been removed from the old fire tanker.  Arrangements are being made to dispose of it.

A new design for the proposed office sign was shown.

Judy explained the new law addressing notification to the owners of tax deeded properties.  Judy will draft a letter to Mr. Booth informing him of the time frame.

We must hold a public hearing to accept gifts to the Town.

The Board discussed the appointed road agent position.  Chairman Jordan will organize a presentation for the Town Meeting.
