August minutes read and approved. Motions by Ann & Kate.
We will keep identifying towns that have flags on their telephone poles. We need to get approval from the electric/power company.
Michelle will contact Dawn to see if she got in touch with Linda Fisher about trees from the McAnney farm.
We discussed signage for Historic Main Street. We need permission from the state to put up the signs. We will see if Jim can help with this, see if he can contact District 5 to get info and maps.
The signs will be 16 x 24 sign. We need breakaway sign posts. We will see if Jim can help with this also.
Our October program will be presented by John Porter. We will partner with the Agricultural Commission. His fee is $100 plus travel. The talk will be "The History of Agriculture as Told by Barns”. This event will be October 20 @ 7:00 at the Grange Hall.
Lucille will do a write up for the Suncook Sun to advertise the talk.
MaryKate Ryan form the DHR is on her way to Seattle. We will miss her very much. She has done so much to help us with our state historic register and much more. We wish her well and we will miss her.
We have been given permission by the town to paint the doors and railings out front. Lucille and Ann will scrape and wash the doors on September 19. Joyce, Michelle, Kate and maybe Dawn will paint the doors, trim and railings on October 26.
We would like to have some help with clearing the brush from the trees on Canterbury Rd. Joyce and Lucille will try to clear some next week.
