Cemetery Trustees
April 14, 2014
Present: Ruth Hammen, Paul Sanborn, Fred Shaw
Welcome: The Trustees welcome Paul Sanborn to the board. He replaces Scott Marston who had served the board for several years and did not seek reelection.
Meeting Date: The Trustees voted to meet the first Monday of each month at the Town Hall at 10AM unless otherwise noted.
Spring Cleanup: Ruth will put a notice in the Suncook Sun advising people to remove any objects from gravesites prior to spring cleanup.
Plausawa and Locke Cemeteries: Since Ruth is the only current Trustee to know the exact location of these cemeteries, the Trustees feel it is important for at least one other Trustee know the sites. Fred and Ruth will visit these sites later this year.
Abandon Cemeteries: The Trustees will seek abandoning the final three cemeteries (Perkins/Maxfield, Shaw, and Page) this year. These cemeteries were not abandoned previously since they had had volunteer caretakers. The Trustees feel it is important to establish the ownership of these cemeteries.
Memorial Day Flags: Paul will look into costs of flags and report at the next meeting. Ruth will contact the Cub Scouts to see if they are still willing to place the flags
