Leavitt Cemetery: Due to the first substantial snowfall, the gate has been closed at this cemetery to prohibit vehicular traffic.
Report: The Trustees have submitted their annual report for publication in the 2012 Town Report.
Abandoned Cemeteries: A notice has been prepared for publication in the Concord Monitor to declare the following cemeteries “abandoned’:
Batchelder
Brown
Edmunds/Stanyan (old part)
Fellows/Webster
Foster
Kaime
Locke
Sanborn/Smith
Morrill
Plausawa
The notice was delivered to the Selectmen’s office with publication to be on January 9, 2013. Interested parties have 60 days to contact the Selectmen’s office for comment before a public hearing is scheduled.
Cemetery Maintenance Contract: Three bids were submitted and reviewed carefully by the Trustees before awarding the contract to Steve’s Quality Services for the 2013 mowing season. All three bidders were notified of the outcome.
Meeting Change: The Trustees have moved their monthly meeting to the first Tuesday of each month at 1PM at the Community Building.
