Cemetery Trustees

Bids: The Trustees have received two bids for cemetery maintenance for 2014. After due consideration, the Trustees decided to continue with Steve’s Quality Services. Trustees are very satisfied with the quality of work and flexibility of the vendor to both work on short notice and provide other services.
Report: Trustees prepared the report for the Trustees of the Trust. This report detailed maintenance costs per gravesite for each cemetery the town maintains. In this report, Trustees are requesting that the Trustees of the Trust turn over whatever interest that has accrued from individual trusts to the town to defray expenses.
Goals for 2014: The Trustees will continue to repair/reset stones that have had years of neglect. They will also assess the condition of cemetery gates and determine those that need repair, replacement, or installation.
