Cemetery Trustees

The cemetery trustees met at the Historical Society at 9AM.
Mowing: Trustees approved the June mowing bill from Steveís Quality Services
Leavitt Field: The periphery of the field has not been maintained back to the walls for several years. Trustees sought a bid from Steveís Quality Services to trim and remove the brush as well as removing downed limbs. The bid submitted was deemed too high by the Trustees who will look for alternative solutions.
Gates: Several cemetery gates are in need of replacement and/or repair. Ruth has identified two artisans who work with wrought iron and are capable of making gates. The Trustees will prioritize a list of cemeteries needing gates and investigate associated costs.
Foster Cemetery: This cemetery has had no attention for many years and consequently trees and shrubs have grown in. Trustees decided to put in on the list of abandoned cemeteries.
Corner Stones: The Trustees have been using just one monument company for the last few years. They plan to seek out other companies to compare prices and quality of service.
