1. Discussion – Town Park Drinking Fountain Conversion
Decision Required: Whether to expend funds.
Attached is the information regarding the request to convert the water fountain to one that allows bottles to be filled.
2. Holiday Decorating Contest Judging
Decision Required: Which day the judging will be performed.
The date of the holiday judging and who will do the judging will be decided.
3. Valley Way Speed Hump
Decision Required: Whether to alter+.
The Staff has indicated that the speed hump has damage and wear and will need to be replaced. The question to the Mayor and Town Council is whether the replacement speed hump should mirror the new speed humps that are being installed (e.g. Crest Avenue).
4. Raised Crosswalks – Jason Street & Crest Avenue
Decision Required: None.
The Staff were directed to look at the possibility of installing a raised crosswalk in the mid-block of Jason Street. The Director of Public Works and Chief of Police have provided technical data regarding this matter in order to properly address this matter. If you did not keep your copies of the information from the last Worksession, let staff know so additional copies can be made for the meeting.
5. Cheverly Avenue and Montrose Road Design
Decision Required: Whether to consider alternatives.
The Mayor and Town Council directed the Public Works Director to price out and consider suggestions regarding pedestrians at the lower end of Cheverly Avenue near Montrose. The memorandum was distributed at the September Town Meeting and is up for discussion. If you need another copy please email me prior to Thursday’s meeting. If you did not keep your copies of the information from the last Worksession, let staff know so additional copies can be made for the meeting.
6. Tremont Avenue Snow Parking
Decision Required: Whether to change the Code.
The Mayor and Town Council have been asked to change the code to allow parking on the opposite side of Tremont per a request to avoid ice.
7. Personnel Matter
Decision Required: None.
The Mayor and Town Council have a memorandum regarding this matter. This part of the meeting will be closed per state law regarding the discussion of personnel matters..
