  • Discussion held between 4:00 & 7:00 p.m.
Selectman Harmon distributed forms for the Board’s budget items.

At 6:00 a resident from Davis Road came in and the Board had a lengthy discussion with him about acceptance of that road.  The Board will be talking with the Town’s attorney the first of next week about how they should proceed with that matter.

  • Review of Correspondence
  • Letter from Maine Municipal Health Trust – Re:  Deadline Extension for Affordable Care Act Reporting Requirements
  • Email from Maine Municipal Association – Re:  Financial Status of Property & Casualty Pool

  • Review of Projects and Issues
Selectman Poitras said he talked with Tom Kennie about our first snowstorm and Public Works did an awesome job.  There were a couple of breakdown problems which is to be expected with the first storm but those have been or are going to be resolved.

Selectman Santolucito reported that the next SAD #6 Budget Advisory Committee Meeting is next Thursday night at 6:00 PM at Central Office.  He started looking at the budget forms that were distributed tonight and is working on that.  Selectman Santolucito also reported that he has been working with some of our technology and tele-communications vendors to review contracts and pricing to see if there is an opportunity to make improvements.

Selectman Harmon has been in every day working on budgets.  Since Selectman Poitras is new at this she has offered her assistance to answer any questions he may have.  She was in the office yesterday during the storm and said she feels that if the Board expects the employees to show up, she should come in as well.

Selectman Emery has been working on a couple projects that are going on in the office.  He checked with Public Works and reported that everything has gone fine there.   He said he was able to come in to the office because he does not have to plow snow any more.  He has been plowing in the Town of Standish for 27 years and explained how different it felt not to have to do that for the recent storm and having the time to come in to the Town Office.

Selectman Emery said Selectman Burns will be back next week and with all 5 of the Selectmen here, the Board can get into the monetary side of the budget and discuss information they need to get to the department heads including what to plan for wages and payroll so they can finish their budgets.
