  • Review of Correspondence
  • Email from Patrick Bonsant, Manager of Saco River Community Television – Re: 2013 Alliance for Community Media award recognition
Selectman Emery and Selectman Burns each congratulated Tony Vigue on behalf of the Board for the award and thanked him for the countless hours he worked on the cable contracts.  They talked about how fortunate Buxton has been to have had him and the hundreds and hundreds of hours he spent working on the cable contracts, and providing advice

  • Email from a resident – Re:  Playground on Town Farm Road

  • Review of Projects and Issues
Selectman Harmon mentioned the Board workshop last night and said they went over carry-forwards and accounts that need to be reconciled.  She has been dealing with assessing issues and let everyone know that tax bills are in the mail.  She also mentioned that the Board is set up to do interviews tomorrow night for Public Works.

Selectman Burns talked about attending the Twelve Town Group Meeting which was centered on the legal action the York County Budget Committee is taking against the York County Commissioners.

Selectman Booker has been working on electric rates.  She said it seems redundant but it is a process where we have to keep watching the rates to prepare for the next contract.  She said there have been some discussions about other energy costs as well.

John Myers sent the Personnel Policy back to the Board with five or six good questions and Selectman Booker sent the information back to the town’s lawyer to get her take on it.

Selectman Emery came in the first of the week.  He went over things on his desk and went through mail that came in.  He also talked about items the Board discussed in their workshop.  He mentioned that the Town Clerk brought in a request from a company that wants to do some work on our server.  The Board is not sure about what they want to do so they asked him to bring the people in to talk with the Board.

Bids were opened last week for pickup trucks and some fuel tanks and Selectman Emery said those will be awarded tonight.

The Selectmen are putting together a bid proposal for the town’s fuel contract that comes up in November.  When the proposal is finished they will send it out to a group of people.

  • Old Business
Personnel Policy – The Policy has been sent back to the town’s attorney with some questions and as soon as they hear back from her they expect the Policy will be done.
