  • Review of Projects and Issues
Selectman Harmon has been in the office every day and has been dealing with some assessing issues.  She spoke about the loss of our good friend, Joan Weeman, and expressed condolences to the Weeman family.  She commented that Joan was an important part of the Town Office and said we are really going to miss her.

Selectman Burns reported that he attended the Saco River Cable TV meeting last Thursday night on the Time Warner Contract the towns have been negotiating on.  The towns got together and reviewed the contract.  He made some changes and sent them to Tony Vigue.  Selectman Burns said this is moving along and they expect the contract will be finalized in the next few weeks.

Selectman Burns also reported that he finished up the bid specifications for the West Buxton Public Library roof and the bid package is ready to go out this week.

Selectman Booker reported that she has been talking with a gentleman about our electric rates in preparation for the next contract that will be coming up soon.  She mentioned talking about the paving bids and a discussion she had with Greg Heffernan late last week about some maintenance items at the Transfer Station that are mostly related to the Safety Works issues.

Selectman Emery was out of town the end of last week but called in to see what was going on and keep up with everything.  He came in earlier today to go through the paving bids and mail that came in while he was away.  He also talked about the loss of Joan Weeman who he said was a special lady who started working at the old Town Hall when she was 18 years of age.  She became a fixture here and will be greatly missed by everyone.
