The North Congregation Church on Church Hill Road will be holding a bottle drive on September 29 to raise money for the Food Pantry and the Keep the Heat on fund.

13.     Public Comments and Questions.

Lary Owen asked if FEMA money had come in yet.  Selectman Harmon report that she believed $57,000 has been received and $11,000 more will be coming.

Charles McNut reported on the dog seizure situation at the kennel in Buxton.  Mr. McNut is on the Board of Directors of the Kennebunk Animal Shelter.  The media has gone on this issue but it remains a very big and ongoing situation that is extremely costly and volunteers are needed.  The Kennebunk Animal Shelter and the Westbrook Shelter are appealing for volunteers to help care for the animals.  The animals are not going to be put up for adoption as the case is in litigation.

There are 100 dogs still at the Buxton facility.  70 dogs have been moved to the Kennebunk shelter and some have been moved to Westbrook.  The animal welfare society needs donations and volunteers to support the on going effort.

14.     Adjournment.

Motion made and seconded to adjourn the Meeting at 7:37 p.m.
