Minutes for April 18, 2007 Selectmen’s Meeting

Members Present: Daniel T. Collomy, Carol B. Sanborn, Robert C. Libby and Jean C. Harmon. Clifford L. Emery was absent.
Others Present: Peter Burns, Olive Collomy, Jack Hanna and Phil Thompson
Business Meeting Agenda
1. Call to Order.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes.
Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes for April 11, 2007. Approved 4-0-1.
3. Discussion held between 5:00 & 7:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. – Kerry Harrison – Executive Session at 5:05 p.m. – end 5:35 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – Fred Farnham – discuss tires at 166 Rocky Dundee Road and Town’s involvement
6:30 p.m. – Chief Graves – discuss mutual aid and the purchase of a ladder truck
4. Review of Correspondence.
· Letter from Fred Farnham, Code Enforcement Officer – Re: DEP assistance for tire removal from property located at 166 Rocky Dundee Road.
5. Review of Projects and Issues.
Selectman Sanborn reported that several shingles from the roof of the Town Hall came off during the storm and there was some water inside the building. The roof will need to be looked at. Selectman Collomy reported that he believes some water is on the inside of the roof structure captured by the plastic next to the insulation that was used during construction. The custodian will take a look to see the extent of damage and the next steps will be determined.
Selectman Harmon reported that the Budgets are done and the Selectmen met for a Workshop on Monday and met with the Budget Committee on Tuesday night. The final Budget Committee Meeting will be held on April 24.
Selectman Sanborn and Harmon thanked the Public Works Department employees, the Police Department and the Fire Department for the great job that they did during the storm. Everyone worked very hard and many people volunteered their time to assist their neighbors. Residents were reminded not to drive around a barricade to get on to closed roads. Also do not attempt to cut up trees in the roadway as there may still be live electrical wires.

E.O.060704018 – An order to approve a down payment of $5,000 for the purchase of a used ladder truck. Approved 4-0-1.
