Others in attendance: Henry Huntley, Alan Wright and Cliff Roy.
Christopher Carroll brought the meeting to order by initiating the pledge of allegiance.
Discuss site walk for Alan Wright of 4 Skip Road is requesting a conditional use permit allowing his to operate an auto repair garage at his residence. Tax Map 3, Lot 41.
Mr. Wright says there was a question of the sign being too close to the road. Mr. Wright submitted a letter stating the sign would not be placed in the line of site for traffic pulling on to Long Plains Road. Jere said the location was back with plenty of visibility.
Larry, Jere and Cliff attended the site walk
- Jere scheduled the public hearing on Monday, May 12th, 2014, for Alan Wright of 4 Skip Road, Tax Map 3, Lot 41; for a conditional use permit to operate an auto repair garage. Seconded by Larry, the motion passed with a 4 – 0 vote.
Kelley & Clifford Roy, Jr. are applying for a conditional use permit in animal husbandry to allow then to house two pigs and chickens at 111 Henry Hill Road; Tax Map 3, Lot 12.
Mr. Roy would like to house two pigs and was not aware he needed a permit. The Animal Control Officer visited Mr. Roy’s property last week. After further research the Board determined Mr. Roy did not need to come before the Planning Board. He is allowed to have farm animals in the rural zone he has more than three acres. Mr. Roy says he has 4.6 acres. The town records show he has 3 acres.
A letter will be sent to the ACO to follow up make sure the wells and manure pad meets the setback standards in the ordinance.

Approval of Minutes:
April 14, 2014
- Motioned by Larry to approve the minutes as amended, seconded by Jere. The motion passed with a 4 – 0 vote.
Approval of Bills:
~Portland Press herald in the amount of $43.80 for the proposed zoning ordinance amendment public hearing.
- Motioned by Jere, seconded by Cliff to pay $43.80 to the Portland Press herald, the motion passed with a 4 – 0 vote.
~Southern Maine Regional Planning in the amount of $500 for editing and correcting
Shoreland Zoning map. Tabled from 4/14/14 meeting we now have the maps in hand.
- Motioned by Larry, seconded by Jere to pay $500 to Southern Maine Regional Planning, the motion passed with a 4 – 0 vote.
Communications:
~Email from Chris MacClinchy and letter from Cliff Thomas requesting a copy of the
certified map sent to DEP. - Cliff mentioned he would like to have DEP review the
map and put a professional stamp on the map, certifying the results are the minimum
requirements.
Other Business:
~The Board will review the Shoreland maps after the meeting.
~Review findings for Edward Lavigne:
- Motioned by Jere to approve findings for Edward Lavigne, seconded by Larry with a 4 – 0 vote.
Attendees may address the Board on the evening’s business: no one wanted to speak this evening.
Adjourn: motioned by Cliff, seconded by Larry to adjourn, the vote was unanimous.
