Call to order
Andrew Townsend called to order the regular meeting of the Buxton Charter Commission at 7:07pm on August 18, 2009 in Buxton Town Hall large meeting room.

Members Present: Andy Townsend, Dianne Senechal, Jennifer Barschdorf, David Dunn, Brent Havu, May Schumacher, Judy Sjulander
Approval of minutes from last meeting
Charter Commission Meeting Minutes August 13, 2009. Approved as amended 7-0-2 (Dan & Larry absent)
Open issues
Legal Counsel – Dianne found that Scarborough uses Chris Vaniotis from Bernstein Shur Counselors at Law, Gorham and Standish both use attorneys from Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry.
The proposed interview schedule for the August 27, 2009 meeting is (7-0-2):
7:30 Paul Frinsko (schedule by Dan)
8:00 & 8:30 Ken Cole & Chris Vaniotis (Dianne to schedule)
New business
Department Head Meetings:
A meeting was schedule between David Pinkham and Brent, David, & May (David couldn’t make the meeting) – it was said to have been a good conversation but the details were private and the rest of the board should talk to him on their own.
Andy - everyone needs to be notified of meetings ahead of time and people need to report back to the group about the meeting.
Brent - it was a confidentiality issue
David - the meetings are personal not to be discussed with anyone else.
It was asked if the committee could go into executive session
