7:40 PM - Meeting open
7:50 PM – Representative from Pioneer Valley Wind, LLC meet with the members of the board to discuss and request the BCC to send a recommendation to the Brimfield Board of Selectmen involving Janice Fitzgibbons leasing land for Wind Pole – Applicant, Pioneer Valley Wind, LLC does not plan to take the leased land out of Chapter 61 and if so the Brimfield Conservation recommend that the Brimfield Board of Selectmen do not take the 2.88 acres of land involved in the lease – access road to be used is an already existing forest cutting road – Pioneer Valley Wind, LCC has also entered into a contract with the neighbor for use of that access road – the access road is not to be upgraded – if need be Pioneer Valley Wind, LCC could bring the poles in by using a small pole trailer and a
four wheeler – trees to be cut in a arrow shape – BCC recommends that Pioneer Valley Wind, LCC contact the Natural Heritage to identify the rare species as depicted on the Brimfield BioMap and Living Waters map – the areas in questioned are labeled as BM1044, BM1053, BM1058 and BM1056 – BCC request longitude and latitude numbers of the area being leased – BCC requests a copy of the Natural Heritage Letter of response to the above question – BCC requires no cutting until we receive a copy of the response letter from the Natural Heritage verifying the leased area is not located in the Estimated Habitat of Rare Wildlife and that the project will not adversely affect the actual Resource Area Habitat or state-protected rare wildlife species – BCC requires landowner to supply the Brimfield Conservation Office with a copy of the active Forest Management Plan - Motion made by John Keizer to send letter to the Brimfield Board of
Selectmen stating that the Brimfield Conservation recommend they not take the property being leased 2.88 acres of Janice Fitzgibbons – send a letter to the Pioneer Valley Wind, LLC stating Brimfield Conservation’s concerns and requests – send copy of letter and minutes to the Brimfield Planning Board, Brimfield Board of Selectmen, - Motion seconded by Roger deBruyn - No further discussion - vote taken 6 yes 0 no 0 abstain - Motion carries
9:20 PM – John Keizer leaves the meeting - Motion made by Joe Collins to sign payroll voucher for the amount of $300.00 from account 01-0171-5114 and the amount of $225.00 from account 14-0171-4382 for the pay period of 1/3/10 to 1/16/10 to pay the Admin. Assist. - Motion seconded by Ian Lynch - No further discussion - vote taken 5 yes 0 no 0 abstain - Motion carries
9:30 PM - Motion made by Joe Collins to send a letter of recommendation to acquire the property at Steerage Rock on the behalf of the town - Motion seconded by Ian Lynch - No further discussion - vote taken 5 yes 0 no 0 abstain - Motion carries
10:00 PM – members plan site visit for the possible violation taken place on St. Clair Road – reply to e-mail: notified the members of the board they will conduct a site visit and one member will get back to them
