Regular Meeting
June 4, 2014
7:30 p.m.

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Briarcliff Manor, New York was held in the Village of Briarcliff Manor Village Hall, at 1111 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York on the 4th of June, 2014 commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Board of Trustees Announcements by Deputy Mayor Sullivan
·       The Library is looking for volunteers for the School’s Out for Summer Party on June 25th.  
·       Summer hours have been expanded at the Library.  Visit the website for details.  
·       All Village Fields are open except the Youth Center Field.  
·       Pool season is underway, hours are posted and permits are available for purchase.  Please visit the website for extended office hours.  
·       Permits are required to use the tennis courts.  
·       The Swimming and Diving Team season has started. Contact the Recreation Department for more information.  
·       Day camp registration is still available

Village Managers Report by Village Manager Zegarelli

·       A lot of projects have been recently put out to bid.  Bidding results have been very aggressive and in the Village’s favor.  
·       DPW is very busy with grass cutting and maintenance throughout the Village such as catch basin and pot hole repairs.  
·       Tax Bills were mailed out and collection has begun.  1st half payments are due by July 1st.  

Mayor Vescio noted that residents may see fire hydrants running throughout the Village.  He stated it was for the annual hydrant flushing program to provide a better quality of water and reduce sediment.  

Public Comments

There were no public comments.  

Award of Bid – Bus Transportation

Village Manager Zegarelli stated the bid came in slightly under budget.  

The Board requested changes to the resolution.  

Upon motion by Trustee Wilson, seconded by Deputy Mayor Sullivan, the Board voted unanimously to approve the following resolution as amended:

BE IT RESOLVED that the bid for the furnishing of Bus Transportation Services for various Summer Camp programs operated by the Recreation and Parks Department (VM-1415-1) is hereby awarded to Briarcliff Bus Co., Inc. of Briarcliff Manor, New York as per the rates in the attached schedule.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Briarcliff Bus Co., Inc. for the furnishing of Bus Transportation Services for the Recreation and Parks Department.

Budget Amendment – Unclaimed Bail Money

Upon motion by Deputy Mayor Sullivan, seconded by Trustee DeRose, the Board voted unanimously to approve the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED that the budget for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 is hereby amended as follows:

Increase Revenue
(A0101.2770) by $75.00

Adjournment


Upon motion by Trustee Wilson, seconded by Trustee DeRose, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn the regular meeting at 7:45pm.
