The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Briarcliff Manor, New York was held in the Village of Briarcliff Manor Village Hall, at 1111 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York of the 3rd of January 2008 commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Board of Trustees Announcements from Mayor Vescio
§ Seeking volunteers for the Scarborough Park Visioning Advisory Committee
§ Construction has begun at Scarborough Station
§ The Library is open
§ The new recycling schedules have been sent out.
§ The County is increasing their efforts to encourage proper recycling
Village Managers Report from Village Manager Blau
§ As part of the County’s recycling program, if they find recyclables in the regular refuse they will fine the Village. The Village has the third best recycling record in the County.
Public Comments
Mr. Tom Vincent of 116 Hunter Lane stated that Carol Haddad and Bill Sharman would be honored at Unique Affairs on March 1, 2008. He further stated it would be a celebration of Walter Law’s 101st Birthday and his Great Grandson would be attending and urged people to save the date for the night of nights.
Schedule Public Hearing, Special Use Permit, Faith Lutheran Brethren Church
Upon motion by Trustee Smith, seconded by Trustee Mayer, the Board voted unanimously to approve the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that a Public Hearing is hereby scheduled for the January 17, 2008 Board of Trustees meeting to hear and consider a request from Faith Lutheran Brethren Church to renew a Special Use Permit.
Fire Department Membership
Upon motion by Trustee Mayer, seconded by Trustee Waxenberg, the Board voted unanimously to approve the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Briarcliff Manor hereby approves the membership of David A. Cohen to the Briarcliff Manor Hook & Ladder Company.
Upon motion by Trustee Waxenberg, seconded by Trustee Smith, the Board voted unanimously to approve the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Briarcliff Manor hereby approves the membership of Ryan Muro to the Scarborough Engine Company.
Adjournment
Upon motion by Trustee Mayer, seconded by Trustee Waxenberg, the Board voted unanimously to close the meeting at 7:45pm.
