Planning Board Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, February 9, 2010
A regular meeting of the Planning Board of the Village of Briarcliff Manor, 1111 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York 10510, was held in the Municipal Building on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 8:00pm.

Absent: Robert Murray, Member

Sarah Yackel, Village Consultant
Call to Order: Chairman Nolan called the meeting to order at 8:00pm.
PB-14-2009 – GETTY REALTY CO. SITE PLAN AMENDMENT: The Planning Board reviewed an application for a site plan to modify an existing gas station. The property is located at 1168 Pleasantville Road.
Mr. Greg McWilliams, Architect for the Applicant explained the modifications to the application. He stated he satisfied the concerns of the Village Consultants.
The Board had general discussion relating to parking circulation and striping, and access to the loading dock and the refuse receptacles.
Mr. McWilliams explained the proposed parking and landscaping at the site.
The Board had general discussion regarding extending the sidewalk.
Zoning Inspector Quartucio stated the sidewalk would not comply with Village Code.
Member Neveloff requested the safety concerns regarding whether (a) the striping for parking spaces on the northerly side of the building be on a 90 degree or other angle and (b) whether there should be a landscaped island or sidewalk between the two curb cuts, be reviewed by the Village Consultant and left to the discretion of the Building Department.
Upon motion by Member Neveloff, seconded by Member Lotter, the Board voted unanimously to approve the application.
MINUTES
Upon motion by Alternate Member Herbst, seconded by Member Lotter, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of January 12, 2010 as amended.
VILLAGE ENGINEER’S REPORT
- The Club broke ground and is digging the footings for the Sale Model.
- The Scarborough Firehouse Project is moving along quickly.
- The Transmission Main portion of the Full Water Supply Project is ahead of schedule.
- There was a fire at Wyndcrest and the road was tight getting the fire apparatus through.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Member Neveloff, seconded by Alternate Member Herbst, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:35pm.
