The meeting was called to order at 2:30 PM.
Motion was made by Jim Wood and seconded by Roger Deal to authorize the Chair to execute an Employment Agreement with Martin McNamara for a three-year term as Town Administrator. The motion was voted all in favor and the document was signed in agreement.
It was decided that Mr. McNamara’s employment would commence on May 7 and he would be present at the Annual Town Meeting.
Jim Wood raised the issue of Townspeople being able to address the Selectmen at their scheduled meetings without the necessity of being put on the Agenda. Lori informed him that the Agenda must be posted three days in advance of any meeting. The decision that any matters to come before the Board be on the Agenda was not a decision she made, but was a decision of the past Board of Selectmen. This was to avoid meetings running several hours long and lasting well into the night. No one is denied the right to speak to the Board. No decision was reached by the Board to change the present scheduling.
At 3:15 PM, upon motion by Roger Deal, seconded by Jim Wood and voted all in favor, the meeting was adjourned.
