Workshop Meeting
Date of Meeting: Friday, October 29, 2010
Location: Town Hall, 221 Main Street
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:25PM
Members Present: Chairman James Stanton; Ken Sydow; Roger Deal (left meeting at 3:00 PM)
Others Present: Nancy Colbert Puff, Town Administrator; Lori Esposito, Administrative Assistant
Town-Owned Land:
- The Town Administrator presented a map and a detailed spreadsheet of Town-owned land and possibly Town-owned land. There was a brief review of parcels outlined on the map.
- Control of several parcels east and west of Mile Hill Road were requested by Con Comm. in the past.
- Several parcels west of Mile Hill need title confirmation and then could possibly be sold. Board would like to pursue a title search with Counsel Stephen Madaus.
- Ken Sydow inquired about cluster zoning to assist with affordable housing building on Town-owned land. The Town Administrator will discuss with Planning Board.
- A discussion was held regarding the Sewall Street gravel pit and the best use for it: possibly affordable housing or RFP for sale.
- Jim asked about the possible need for the Housing Authority.
- The Town Administrator is to look into parcels:
- Morningdale area
- Sewall Street pit
- Ethan Allen Drive
- Parcels west of Mile Hill Road.
Hillside USDA Plan: To be voted on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Selectmen’s Meeting.
Motion made to adjourn; motion seconded; voted All in Favor.
