AGENT'S REPORT
Flu Season – The budget for the VNA RN was discussed; the board owes the VNA for approximately 45 doses of vaccine @ $10-$11 per vaccine.
Dennis received $482.00 in reimbursement from UMass Med School for the 2011-2012 flu season.
Dennis would like to increase the monies allowed in the board’s revolving account to $3,000. This must be placed on the Town Warrant and passed at Town Meeting.
Sharps – The BOH currently has 2 sharps boxes. Pick up is 2 times per year with a “will call” for $50.00. There is also a potential fuel surcharge. The agreement is for 36 months. Points of discussion:
Best way to advertise to the townspeople - website, FB, senior lunch.
What is an acceptable container for people to bring in their sharps? The best now is a heavy, plastic container; however, plastic covers are not acceptable.
Should the board consider buying approximately 100 smaller containers for people to take home with them and then return to the BOH office when full?
Drop off hours - Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Tobacco Violations – Boylston Wine and Liquors and the Shell Station were each in violation for selling tobacco products to minors; each was a first offense.
Tahanto – Dennis will visit Tahanto to ensure the removal of the garbage disposals.
Mosquito Control – Sarah will email Tim Deschamps regarding attending a BOH meeting to update us regarding the upcoming mosquito season, as well as to obtain information regarding last year’s use of CMMC.
Boylston Water District – The BOH would like to meet with the Water District regarding a recent water incident.
