GENERAL BUSINESS
Vouchers were approved.
Tina Shenko made a motion to approve Meeting Minutes dated July 15, 2013; Sarah Scheinfein seconded; all agreed.

AGENT’S REPORT
Sharps (promoting in-house take-back policy for MOB employees) – The board needs to create an in-house policy about sharps being brought in when no one is in the office. A sign will be put on the door with the hours of acceptance.
Healthy Heart/Pedometers (working with Parks & Rec) – Packages will be put together for distribution at the blood drive. They will include various Board of Health informational pamphlets, sunscreen and pedometers.
Tahanto Update – The garbage disposal was removed. Dennis said the stove is all set; they are removing the warming racks. He met with Jim Goulet and told him the requirements needed by the board before they can sign off. The as-built from the company was received, but the as-built from the installer is needed. Also still needed is a letter from the engineer stating that it was done in accordance with the design, and the O&M agreement which has to be signed by the school.
Compass Pointe (Enhanced Nitrogen Septic Systems) – Dennis spoke with the Water Department. A document was prepared by the Board of Health and Water Department saying that the design is to be pressure dosed and will be incorporated in their permit. The document also calls for enhanced nitrogen removal, monitoring wells, and Homeowner’s Agreement. Dennis spoke with Mr. Venincasa today and told him what he needs to do. The plans will need to be revised.
Poison Ivy – Tina will show Sarah specifically where the poison ivy is and Sarah will email the Board of Selectmen.
PLAN REVIEW
218 School Street (Millbury Greenwood LLC) – Mark Santoro (Engineer) was present. Dennis said the plan meets Title 5 and our regulations for a three bedroom house. The plan says four. Mr. Santoro said that was incorrect and it should say three. The site is rough (mostly ledge). After reviewing prior testing, Dennis asked the engineer and owner if they would consider more testing. Mr. Santoro said they meet Title 5, the town and state regulations. He said the septic will be the first stage of construction. Dennis said because of the site, the town does not feel comfortable and would like more testing. He read from the code that states the town can require additional testing. Mr. Santoro explained that more testing requires more excavation which is
destructive to the area. He said he called the office numerous times and never received a response from Dennis. The owner has agreed to more testing. Dennis said the plan is a good plan as designed. The board agreed to approve the plan contingent on further testing.
7 Intervale Road (Mark Buhl) – Approved.
7 Barney Road (Adams Living Trust) – Approved.
421 Cross Street (Paul Massad) – Approved.
142 Linden Street (Jon Heslin) – This was for a component repair. When installed it shifted, putting it out of compliance; therefore it required a plan review. The board approved it.
Consider issuing an extension for School Street, Lot 15 (Bigelow Nurseries) – The board granted a one-year extension.
Tina made a motion to adjourn; Sarah seconded; all agreed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
