Agent’s Report

Mini Grant Update Feedback- Sarah will post questionnaire on FB page for feedback.

Mosquito Control/EEE- Outdoor ban was lifted. Notes for if/when next outdoor ban goes into effect:

  • Notify Chief of Police, as the Chief mentioned to Dennis a violation of the ban is an “arrestable offense.” Sarah didn’t have an email address to include him on the initial email that went out.
  • Joe Flanagan looking into alternative to Reverse 911; he is currently exploring “Code Red” system.
  • When sending out a Reverse 911, the BOH needs to make it clear the message is coming from the BOH, as the Fire Chief received calls regarding the ban.
  • The BOH also may check with surrounding towns as to what they are doing regarding a ban.
Flu Season - Senior clinic will be held on Tuesday, November 6th at the Town House. Maureen Sendrowski from VNA will be there. Dennis would also like to include town employees, however not school employees at this clinic.

Dennis is still awaiting refund from state from last year’s vaccine.

Dennis spoke to Maureen (VNA) about purchasing vaccine from VNA. The BOH currently has approx. 2 K in a revolving account. We can get back $17 pp from the state, excluding seniors. Dennis will follow up with Maureen.

Farmer’s Market (May Permit) - will be completed by Dennis by January and will be renewed annually.

Sharps Disposal- Dennis still waiting to hear back from one company, as to price-compare.

Beaver Permit - The BOH granted a Beaver Permit; however, the person requesting it did not follow up. Open Season is November 1st.

Tahanto - Dennis visited the building/property October 22nd; a squirt test was done that day. Dennis didn’t sign off on the septic as the plans need more detail, such as: working documents, electrical panels, operation maintenance plan. Dennis has not yet inspected the kitchen.

Plan Review

6 Butler Road (Erickson) - Dennis reported plans meet Title V and BOH regulations and recommended approval; plans were approved.
