AGENT’S REPORT
Regionalization – The grant award will be determined this week.
Tobacco – The coalition is expanding to include the prevention of underage drinking. Gerry signed the Municipal Participation in Collaborative Form. Guidelines/regulations are in the process of being prepared.
USGS Water Study – The state conducted a study of private drinking wells. The town falls into a probability category that could have elevated deposits of arsenic and uranium. The residents should be informed to have their private wells tested. It was suggested to put information in the light bills and an article in the Banner. The board has no specific regulations and follows the state guidelines. Information can be obtained through the DEP website which is currently linked to the town website. Dennis will follow-up.
The annual take back drugs day will be held on Saturday, April 30th. The link on our website will be revised to reflect the current date.
