GENERAL BUSINESS

Gerry motioned to approve the Meeting Minutes dated February 22, 2010; Lorie seconded; all agreed.

April 26, 2010 was confirmed as the date for the next BOH meeting.

AGENT’S REPORT

Seasonal/H1N1 Flu Update – Maureen Sendrowski (VNA) is here tonight to administer vaccines from 4PM to 7PM.  Clinics are still being held because there is an abundant supply of vaccine left and it is a BOH reporting factor.  One final clinic will be held.  Dennis will contact Lorie with the date and time and she will put it on Facebook.  Disposal plans are not confirmed at this time.  Dennis said he purchased a laptop, wireless printer and router with PHER funds.  He is to prepare an inventory list of what items we have, the quantity and where they are stored (home/office) in the event he is unavailable when they are needed.

Proposed Cell Towers – Dennis has been in contact with the Town Administrator with regard to the construction of cell towers.  He said there are some studies concerning health effects.  Gerry will research information and advise the Board.

Region 2 Equipment Update – Dennis said the Region has purchased satellite telephones and hookups for laptops.  There are eight in Region 2.  Boylston did not qualify for one since the office is not staffed full-time.  West Boylston and Northborough have trailers.  Dennis will make additional purchases from Grainger Supply (cases for storage, a dolly, tents and possibly cots).  As stated earlier, Dennis will provide the Board with an inventory list.

Also discussed was preparing an emergency preparedness booklet for the residents.  Dennis provided a sample which will be revised for Boylston’s use.  He will forward the electronic copy to Melanie for edit.  Region 2 will pay for printing only.  In addition, a booklet with telephone numbers for responders only will be created.

Dog Complaint – A resident from Pleasant Lane inquired if the Board had any rules or regulations pertaining to dogs.  Dennis spoke with the resident and said that since it is a not a recurring issue, it is a non-action complaint.  It was suggested the resident speak directly with his neighbor.

Tower Hill Kitchen – Will be ready for opening in April.

Dennis spoke briefly about the public water supply and that the Board will be required take a more active part when incidents occur.  In the past, only if there was a positive infraction was notification sent.  Now the state requires that if any infraction occurs, notification must be sent.

PLAN REVIEW
170 Cross Street (John Beaupre) – Plans were approved pending the following revisions:  (1) add language referencing the 750 square foot variance per our local bylaw, and (2) add language that a water quality test is required.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
