Board Reorganization – Gerry is running again.  Matt is campaigning for Selectmen.  Lorie and Dennis have spoken with residents who expressed interest in becoming part of the Board.  They will be contacted before the election to see if they would be willing to join the Board and carry out the remainder of Matt’s term (one year) should he win.

AGENT’S REPORT

Tobacco (HOOKAH) Update – Dennis said that the legislature is re-writing the Tobacco law.  He also said that Bill McClune, Project Director for the Tobacco Control Program, will be working with legislation on Wednesday to finalize the wording for the regulation.  He will follow-up for next month.

Gerry asked for an update on Homeland Security/Emergency Preparedness.  Dennis said it is an ongoing process, but there is still a great deal of work to be done.  He met with the Water District today.  The Board needs to be part of their Emergency Plan as well as them being part of the Boards.

Dennis said he submitted a $1.3 million septic system proposal on behalf of the Board to Nancy Colbert regarding the federal stimulus program.

No information has been received concerning the FY10 budget.

Attorney Patricia Davidson (Mirick O’Connell) contacted Dennis regarding the Barnard Hill Subdivision (Dr. Chehade).  The court date for this week has been postponed.  It appears they are making progress towards a resolution.

Dennis said that during the winter months he obtained recertification in food safety as well as becoming a certified pool operator.  He also obtained CEUs for soil evaluation and Title 5 for next year.  He will be attending a smoke school in April conducted by the DEP, which rates the smoke from outdoor wood burning stoves.  He will be taking a lead paint certification test in June.

Mass in Motion grants for obesity was discussed.  Dennis will follow-up for the next meeting.
