GENERAL BUSINESS

Matt Mecum was welcomed as the new Board Member.  He replaced Larry Solimini.

After discussion concerning the rotation of the Chair position.  Lorie Martiska motioned for Gerry Gleich to become the new Chairman; Matt Mecum seconded; all agreed.

Vouchers were approved.

Lorie motioned to approve the Meeting Minutes dated April 23, 2007; Matt seconded; all agreed.

July 23rd was confirmed as the date for the next BOH meeting.

Correspondence was reviewed.  With regard to Attorney Angelini’s letter concerning Anthony Froio, Melanie will contact him to ask what specific information is required that was not previously supplied.

AGENT’S REPORT

Emergency Preparedness (Exercise Planning) – Dennis said we have not received a volunteer list from the WRMRC as yet.  Mary Jasper (assistant Town Clerk) is in the process of compiling a list of residents who have any medical background.  Dennis has been in contact with Joe Flanagan, Carol Bryngelson and Walter Depaolo concerning an exercise in conjunction with the Flu Clinic.  Maureen Sendrowski (VNA) will contact the state about getting more vaccine (possibly 300).  A plan needs to be in place by August.  Dennis will prepare a checklist for the next meeting.

Mosquito Control – The program begins in July.  A link will be put on the website.  The Town Clerk needs to keep a “do not spray” list.  Spraying will be done on an individual basis, not town wide.  Reports will be supplied.  The public should be informed of how the program works by placing an article in the Banner.

Tobacco Contest – The middle school did not participate this year.  The Girl Scouts wrote poems.  Dennis will submit the entries to the Banner.  It was suggested that the Board choose a particular civic group each year to participate.  For future school participation, information will be sent to the school nurse.

East Temple & Route 140 Flooding – Dennis reported that the flooding that took place last month has been taken care of.

Selectmen Meeting (May 21st) – Dennis attended the meeting.  He told the Selectmen that we would be conducting an exercise with the flu clinic and spoke about the mosquito control.  An email was received from the Selectmen asking for availability for either August 20th or September 4th.  Gerry and Dennis will be available for the September 4th meeting.

Evaluations – On May 31st, Lorie completed the evaluations for Dennis and Melanie.

PLANS REVIEW

160 Shrewsbury Street (Rand-Whitney) – The clay barrier was changed to plastic as requested by Dennis.  Thompson-Liston also included a sequence for how the system would be replaced should it fail.  The plan was approved.

250 Cross Street (Lombardi) – The plan was approved, but will be held pending the receipt of the finalized Declaration of Covenants documents.

Lot A Stiles Road (Cormier) – No action taken.  More testing is needed.

23 Scar Hill Road (Diane Chase) – Approved.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
