Wastewater Treatment Plant Committee members met at 9:00 a.m. at Nashoba Regional High School for one of three site visits being conducted to view various wastewater treatment plant facilities.  The Nashoba Regional High School facility is a membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) system, 12,000 gallons per day.  

Present:  David Formato, P.E., Project Engineer, Ray L. Willis III, P.E., Project Engineer, and Lou Soracco, Engineer of Tata and Howard; David Boucher, Division Manager at
Whitewater for their onsite wastewater treatment operations group; Town Secretary Linda Day and Curt Plante.  

After viewing the treatment technology and the metal building housing it, the group then proceeded to Boxboro to the wastewater treatment facility at Harvard Ridge Condominium's to view the Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) 30,000 gallon per day system and Cisco’s Site I to view the Rotating Biological Contractor (RBC) 30,000 gallon per day system.  The Harvard Ridge building has brick and block siding and artificial barn and colonial style doors as well as a cupola on the roof to enhance it visually.  The Cisco building is brick with a flat roof and was designed to house 70,000 gallon per day technology.
