Meeting Location: Florence Sawyer Conference Room Begin: 6:40 PM End: 08:05 PM
1. Minutes from the March 13th meeting were reviewed and approved.
2. Committee discussed the possible renovations costs for Emerson 1952 and 1922 edition:
· Renovations will include air quality testing as well as updating and upgrading. Air conditioning will also be factored into the 1952 and 1922 addition just like it has been incorporated into the current 1972 addition.
3. The addition committee will get more numbers from the volunteer architect to support the possibility of putting additions on the current structures. Cafeteria and gymnasium regulations and restrictions were also discussed.
4. The chair people of the committee, Tom and Leigh will present a storyboard presentation at the next meeting that will be the start of the final presentation format for the Selectman. This presentation will include:
· Comparison of renovation vs. additions
· Data that supports population growth
· Data that presents a threshold time frame
· Options outside of renovation that were not considered and for what reasons (with data to support)
· All options that will be presented
· The final recommendation for the Selectman with data to support.
