Meeting Location: Florence Sawyer Conference Room Begin: 6:40 PM End: 08:15 PM
1. Minutes from the January 30th meeting were reviewed and approved.
2. Brainstorming solutions to space needs:
· Expand existing school buildings
· Acquire long term space in other existing buildings (buy/lease)
· Find temporary space solutions
· Consider new school construction
· Other possible scenarios and solutions.
3. The committee discussed focusing on the short term needs of two to five years and how they should be addressed. Unless linked to short term solutions, the longer term need of a new school will be considered after the initial analysis of subgroups focus on near term needs. Short term needs discussed and assigned into subgroups:
· Expand Sawyer or Expand Emerson: Joel, Bob, Tom, Margaret
· Renovate Emerson (minimal or major): Ken, Panny, Leigh
· Portables or Lease Space: Karen, Richard, Addy
4. Objectives to be considered for the above sub-committees:
· Details on Options
· Feasibility
· Questions and Concerns
· Capacity Options
· Costs swags
· Pros & Cons
· Evaluation vs. Criteria
