Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 40A, Section 5, the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 7:30 pm to discuss a proposed amendment to the Town’s Zoning Bylaw.  The public hearing will be held at the Town Hall, 663 Main Street, Bolton MA 01740.

The Town approved the Barn, Stable & Carriage House Preservation Bylaw at the May 2013 Town Meeting which allows particular accessory uses as well as accessory apartments in detached barns, stables and carriage houses. The current bylaw only allows one structure per lot which conflicts with the new bylaw. An amendment to Section 250-13 Dimensional Regulations (C) will correct this conflict.

Additionally a Citizen’s Petition of the following to add a new Section 2.7 - Temporary Moratorium On Medical Marijuana Treatment Facilities--The town hereby adopts a temporary moratorium on the use of land or structures for a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center.  The moratorium shall be in effect through June 30, 2014.  During the moratorium period, the Town shall undertake a planning process to address the Department of Public Health regulations regarding Medical Marijuana Treatment Facilities and related uses, and shall consider adopting new Zoning Bylaws to address the impact and operation of Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers and related uses."  Or, do or act relating thereto.

SCENIC ROAD PUBLIC HEARING

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 15C (Scenic Road Law) and Section 250-24 of the Bolton Zoning By-laws (Scenic Roads), the Town of Bolton Planning Board will hold a public hearing upon the application of Gentle Manor LLC, 28 Country Club Road, Middleton MA 01949, regarding the proposed removal of portions of a stone wall required to construct three driveways for property located on Frye Road, identified by the Assessors Map as 2B Parcel 6.1

The Public Hearing will be held at Town Hall, 663 Main Street, Bolton, MA on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 8:00 pm. Any person interested or wishing to be heard on the above matter should appear at the time and place designated.
