The Police Chief Search Committee met at 7:00 p.m. at the Florence Sawyer School Cafeteria.
INTERVIEWS WITH CONSULTING FIRMS
At 7:15 p.m. the Committee met with a representative of BadgeQuest to discuss utilizing their services to assist in the search for a new Police Chief. BadgeQuest has been in business for approximately four years. They have placed approximately 15 candidates over the past four years, 12 of which are still in place. They have a career in law enforcement. They would anticipate a five to six month process.
At 8:05 p.m. the Committee met with a representative of Future Management Systems (FMS) to discuss utilizing their services to assist in the search for a new Police Chief. FMS has never done a Police Search and would rely upon a process.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Committee discussed the Job description, which is nearly completed. They would like the following incorporated into the Position Profile: Direct B.S.’ PC grade and range.
Town Administrator Jodi Ross will make an inquiry into the Police Chief Search conducted in the Town of Chatham.
The agenda for the next meeting would be to further review the job description, discuss candidate relocation benefits, salary range, budget, etc.
The template to keep meeting minutes was reviewed and approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
