The minutes of the March 9, 2009 meeting were approved.
Director’s Report:
The library has a new web site.
Budget – since the new building budget is not picking up the costs of electricity, repairs and telephone, we will be overspent on these items. Some of this overage may be covered by other accounts, or we may need to go to Advisory. A motion was made by Bob, seconded by Roland, and passed unanimously to ask Advisory for an additional $1130 to cover electric bills for the rest of the year. We will cover repairs and telephone expenses with money from other accounts.
Correspondence:
The board reviewed a letter from the Burnetts expressing concern regarding the Public Safety Building construction site that abuts their property.
RFP for Art:
After reviewing a draft request for proposals for art for the new building, Bob made a motion, seconded by Roland to table the RFP for art until after the building is completed. This way, artists will be able to see the actual areas which will be available. The motion passed unanimously.
LCC:
Construction is going quite smoothly, and has possibly caught up on lost time. The budget is on track, and the committee may be identifying items to add back into the project.
The next meeting will be Monday, May 4th at 6:00 p.m. before Town Meeting at the High School.
