  • C. Slade moved to approve the minutes of 5/24/11, C. Rogers  2nd. All in favor 2/0.

New Building Permit applications:
  • 580 Main St., Condyne, renovate Emulex space. Bill signed 6/14/11.
  • 12 Teele Rd., Addy, 14’X16’ deck. Bill signed 6/14/11.
  • 296 Long Hill Road, Spedden, finished basement, 4 bd deed restriction required.
Action/Discussion:
  • 110 East End Road, Arlene Hatfield, Frank Chiodo appeared to ask the board some questions regarding drilling a new well.
  • Set meeting dates for remainder of year. Board set the meeting dates for July through December 2011.
  • 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
  • Century Mill Estates shared system approval requests.
  • Lots 48A, 49A & 49B: on hold pending DEP approval of the Nitrogen Aggregate Plan.
  • Lots 53A, 55A & 55B: on hold pending DEP approval of the Nitrogen Aggregate Plan.
  • Lots 54A, 56A & 57A: on hold pending DEP approval of the Nitrogen Aggregate Plan.
  • Houghton Farms shared systems on hold per DEP. May require a Nitrogen Aggregate Plan.
  • Board to have a hearing on July 26, 2011 to amend the SDS Regulations.

7:00 – 7:15pm John Finlay, Finlay Engineering, Lot 1 Harvard Road, Harold H. Smith Jr. Bolton Trust – Variance Request Hearing:
  • John Finlay, Finlay Engineering, appeared before the Board and reviewed the plans for Lot 1 Harvard Road on behalf of his client Harold H. Smith Jr. Bolton Trust.
  • J. Finlay reviewed the variance request from Bolton Board of Health Subsurface Disposal of Sanitary Sewage Regulations, Regulation 3: Groundwater Elevation – the distance from the estimated seasonal high groundwater elevation to the bottom of the leaching system is 5 feet – 4 feet is proposed. Requesting this so that they will be out of the Conservation buffer zone.
  • J. Finlay reviewed the infiltrator trench design with the Board.
  • C. Slade suggested the use of Presby sand – C33.
  • B. Brookings needs to verify the 400 sq. ft. minimum with an infiltrator trench design.
  • C. Rogers moved to accept the variances as presented, C. Slade 2nd. All in favor 2/0.
  • M. Carlisle to send letter of approval once B. Brookings receives information on the 400 sq. ft.
C. Rogers moved to adjourn at 7:44 pm, C. Slade 2nd. All in favor 2/0.
