MINUTES OF OCTOBER 5, 2011 MEETING OF THE BOLTON ENERGY COMMITTEE

Committee convened at 7pm
- Martha/Ted confirmed that the first of a series of quarterly meetings with Town Manager Don Lowe is now confirmed for Tues Nov 1, 2011 at 9am. Other meetings will be 2/7/12 and 5/1/12. Stu, Burt and Ted will attend (others are welcome to join).
Proposed agenda: Share Energy Committee goals with him; ask him to invite Harold Brown also.
- Stu and Ted are planning to do a library walk through to assess energy efficiency opptys.
- Burt will follow up with Bill Spratt re: WWTP behind Sawyer School
- Re: possible oppty to switch streetlights to LED, Ted will find out from Shelly (DPW) what street lights we own and which we don’t; Stu mentioned that he believes that for most we pay a set fee to NGrid for electricity consumption;
- Stu reported that the NGrid sub, Prism, mentioned during library lighting assessment that NGrid has programs for replacing streetlights; however, the contact won’t return calls. Stu will try him again.
- Martha requested that someone else take over the Chairmanship of the Committee by end of next meeting
- Next meeting will be Wed Nov 2 (cancelling meetings scheduled for Oct 19 and Nov 16).
