Bolton Cultural Council Meeting Minutes
August 29, 2016 at 7 pm
Present at the Lois Alex Meeting Room: Margot Brody, Nan Shnitzler, Bharti Bhakta, Peter Kaufman and prospective member Lisa Vickers
Absent: Pat Bensetler, Julia Quinn-Szcesuil, Teresa Sauer
Discussion:
Margot said all BCC applications are due Monday, Oct. 17, and the electronic ones will be delivered to us by Nov. 1. Our decisions have to be made by the end of the year. Margot would like to accept online applications only, but we did not vote that.
Margot explained how LCCs work to Lisa and Peter. She explained the application process: what we do and what applicants do.
We talked about how to get feedback from the free tickets currently available at the library, per the minutes from the June meeting. Lisa suggested instead of a self-addressed stamped envelope we ask for feedback on our email boltonculturalcouncil@gmail.com. We discussed the feedback we’d like to get from folks who take the tickets:

Action items:
Everyone should watch the webinar on the Mass CC website or YouTube about how electronic applications work.
Peter to do the ethics training and the LCC Basics training.
Lisa to ask Pam Powell/Linda Day to get put on the selectmen’s agenda for appointment, then do ethics and LCC Basics training.
After watching the webinar, Nan to compose news release to solicit applications and update webpage on Town website.
