Present: Pat Bensetler, Susan Membrino, Susan Tripp, Peter Vincent, Kate Weiss-Gordon Absent: Laura Burke

1. Minutes from the meeting of November 7, 2005 were approved.

2. Kate Weiss-Gordon presented the chair’s report. A notice seeking new members that was inserted into the annual town census mailing resulted in Tricia Sohl-Dickstein and Elizabeth Nolan Conners expressing interest in joining the BCC. The formal request for their appointment will be forwarded to the Selectmen for approval. Peter needs to complete the online MCC training.

3. A motion to hold Gregory Maichak’s Pastel Workshop on Saturday, April 22, from 10 am-noon at Davis Hall for placeBolton residents 16 and older was unanimously approved. There is no charge for the event, but donations will be accepted. Kate will contract the artist and venue and submit requests for payments totaling $475.00 from the BAC account. Publicity materials will be sent from Greg Maichak around March 1, so that the publicity campaign can commence. Susan M. will handle publicity for the newspaper & town businesses, Town Hall & the library. Susan T. will handle publicity for seniors in the COA newsletter and at senior housing. Pat will take email registrations & Kate will forward mail-in registrations info to Pat. Pat will email registrations confirmations & Kate will mail mail-in confirmations. Peter, Kate & any other BCC members available, will handle event set and strike at Davis Hall the day of the event.

4. A proposal to add the following to the BCC guidelines was approved:
        
        “All applications submitted must include:
        10 copies of the complete application and one set of supporting materials.
        Applicable letters of commitment from any collaborating organization.
        Confirmation of venue and date(s).”

5. Prior to deciding whether or not to approach the Town for an annual funding allocation for the BCC, a survey will be taken by contacting 10-12 area towns by Susan M. The amount received by the LCC and the population will be requested to determine a per capita expenditure. The survey will also request if any restrictions or guidelines are attached to these allocations.

6. No members of the public attended the meeting to offer comments.
