Board of Assessors
September 29, 2005
Minutes:
1. The meeting was called to order at 6:15pm. Present were Nichols, Johnson and Bryan.
2. Minutes of the 9/13/05 meeting were reviewed and approved as written.
3. The board met with Harald Scheid concerning a contract for appraisal services in order to achieve certification by the state as well as ongoing support in the Assessors office for the balance of the fiscal year. Mr. Scheid provided a quote for completing part of the certification and indicated that he would provide a separate quote for the balance of the year. The board requested additional detail be provided and that the matter would be further reviewed at next weeks meeting. Mr. Scheid agreed to attend the meeting of October 6 and that he would also wish to take a tour of the town with the Assessor prior to his retirement.
4. Discussion relative to extra compensation for Administrative Assessor after Tony leaves then occurred. The board was provided with a copy of the town’s policy concerning this. No decision was taken but the Board agreed to discuss this with Cindy soon.
5. Executive session for purposes of discussions related to ATB cases. Vote Johnson – yes, Nichols – yes.
6. The next meeting was set for October 6 at 6pm.
7. Adjournment, motion by Johnson, seconded by Nichols, vote unanimous – at 8:30pm
